Hideout Hosting Benefit Concert For Uptown Tent City

BUCKTOWN — The musical wing of the Young Patriots Organization is hosting a benefit concert for the residents of Uptown's Tent City next month.

From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on July 9, From Blues to Bluegrass will take over the Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., for a concert paying tribute to Mick Scott Scarpelli. Scarpelli was the co-director of From Blues to Bluegrass in the 70s and has supported the Young Patriots Organization throughout his more then 45-year career in folk music, according to a press release for the event

Performers include: the Armoreys, the Hate Stretchers, Anndrena Belcher and Mick Scott.

A suggested donation of $10 to $20 benefiting Uptown's Tent City will be accepted at the door.
