West Town Toe Shooting Possibly Self-Inflicted, Police Say

CHICAGO — A shooting in West Town left a 19-year-old man wounded early Friday, police said.

At 1:40 a.m., the man was walking down the street in the 2400 block of West Washington Boulevard when he said a car drove up and someone inside fired shots, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his toe and was in good condition, Lemmon said.

Police said they're also investigating the possibility that the shooting was self-inflicted.

No one was in custody.
