Man Charged With Murder In Far South Side Shooting From 2011

CHICAGO — An Indiana man has been charged in a Far South Side man's shooting death in 2011, police said.

Dewann Crook, 37, of Gary, has been charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery, according to a Chicago Police news alert.

Crook was identified as the man who shot a 38-year-old man in his head, killing him, on March 14, 2011, in the 600 block of East 115th Street, police said. He also wounded a 27-year-old man during the shooting, police said.

Crook was arrested on Wednesday, police said.
