UPTOWN — Netflix's Sense8 will be filming this weekend in Uptown blocking parking on several residential streets.

Show staff has been working with Illinois Film Office, the Chicago Film Office and the Chicago Police Department preparing the area for filming and the city has issued street parking permits for their vehicles, according to a press release on the 46th Ward's website.

As such, there will be no parking on the following streets from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday:

• The north side of Irving Park Road from the 1100 block of North Irving Park Road to Clark Street

• The south side of Cuyler Avenue from Broadway to Sheridan Road

• The west side of Broadway from Cuyler Avenue to Irving Park Road

• Both sides of Irving Park Road from Broadway to Fremont Street

IMDB describes the show as "a group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order."
