LINCOLN SQUARE — Groundswell Coffee Roasters is turning one and celebrating its first birthday with a present for customers: free coffee.
Pick up a complimentary 12-ounce drip coffee from 7-9 a.m. Wednesday at 4839 N. Damen Ave.
The cafe, which specializes in single-origin coffees roasted onsite, joined a bustling stretch on Damen Avenue that also includes District, Alapash, One Key Yoga, Gallery 19 and Ampersand Wine Bar.
Earlier this year, owner Jason Foster announced plans to expand to 5008 N. Lincoln Ave. by late summer/early fall.
