PILSEN — In an effort to meet a growing need in Chicago, a new AT&T store opened at 18th Street and Ashland Avenue in Pilsen this week.

Owned and operated by MyWireless, the new store will sell the latest phones, devices, accessories and more.

The new AT&T store takes over a 2,030-square-foot storefront at 1800 S. Ashland Ave. previously occupied by Payless Shoe Source. The building was recently restored.

“Our goal is to provide an exceptional experience in every interaction. That starts with conveniently located stores,” said Shelley Goodman, vice president and general manager, AT&T Illinois and Wisconsin. “Customers want the latest apps, services, devices and accessories to mirror their mobile lifestyles. They now have another great location to find the right solution.”

AT&T has 66 company-owned stores in Illinois and sells products and services in authorized retailer locations and select national retail stores.

The Pilsen store will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays.

Another storefront in the Ashland Avenue development is currently for lease, confirmed owner Jeff Malk.

"This property is being fully restored with prime retail on the first floor and brand new apartments above," a real estate listing reads.
