CHICAGO — The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man whose body was pulled out of the Chicago River Tuesday as 24-year-old Dashaye L. Brown, of Rockford.

At 10:37 a.m., authorities responded to a report of a man's body in the river near 350 N. Columbus Drive, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. They pulled the man from the water but he had died.
