CHICAGO — A 15-year-old boy has died more than a week after he was shot in Englewood, officials said.

Ladarrius Jackson, of the 6900 block of South Elizabeth Street, was pronounced dead Monday afternoon, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

At 8 p.m. on Friday, April 29, Ladarrius was in the 6800 block of South Sangamon Street when someone walked up and shot at him, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The boy had been shot multiple times and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in serious condition, Sedevic said.
