RIVER NORTH— The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) announced last week that beginning Monday April 25, there will be daily weekday closures of the north lane and north sidewalk on Madison Street between Wacker Drive and the West Bridge House, between 7pm – 5am from April 25 thru July 1.

The goal of the closures is to stabilize and reinforce the bridge house structure, transportation officials said.

The repairs will require three partial roadway closures on Madison Street between Wacker and Canal with one westbound traffic lane remaining open, and the north sidewalk closed from 7:00 pm on Friday, May 13 and reopen Monday May 16 at 5 a.m., 7 p.m. on Friday May 20 to Monday May 23, and Friday June 3 to Monday June 6 at the same times.

The bridge will be open and no repairs will de done during the upcoming NFL draft weekend.
