THE LOOP — An 18-year-old man was shot in his chest late Tuesday night in the Loop, police said.

Around 11:20 p.m., the man got into an argument with someone at a gas station near the intersection of Dearborn Street and Congress Parkway when the other person pulled out a gun and shot him, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, Estrada said. Police could not provide his condition but said he was "stable."

No one is in custody, Estrada said.

The shooting is the 10th Downtown since Jan. 1, and the third since Wednesday
