Austin Triple Shooting Leaves 53-Year-Old Woman, 2 Men Injured

CHICAGO — Three people were injured during a shooting in Austin on Saturday night, police said.

At 7:26 p.m., the victims were in the 1400 block of North Central Avenue when the shooters got out of a gray Toyota sedan and opened fire on the victims, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 24-year-old man was shot in his chest and was taken to Mount Sinai in critical condition. A 53-year-old woman was shot in her legs and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was in good condition, Sedevic said. A 22-year-old man was shot in his right foot and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.

No one is in custody in the shooting.
