Police Ask for Help Identifying Car from New Year's Day Hit and Run

AUSTIN — Police are asking Austin residents to help identify a car they believe was involved in a hit and run on New Year's Day, according to a community alert issued Saturday.

At 12:51 a.m., the car hit and seriously injured two pedestrians in the 600 block of North Cicero Avenue before its driver fled northbound on Cicero, police said.

Anyone with information on the car or the incident is encouraged to call police at 312-745-4521.
