CHICAGO — A Wicker Park shooting left a 25-year-old man wounded as he stood at a bus stop early Wednesday, police said.

At 2:24 a.m., the man was standing at a bus stop in the 1200 block of North Western Avenue when a black SUV pulled up and someone inside shouted gang slogans, took out a gun and shot at the man, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was hit in his right leg and took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

The man was highly intoxicated and uncooperative, police said.

No one is in custody in the shooting.
