By Kelly Bauer | January 5, 2016 8:18am

CHICAGO — A man died after a double shooting in Pilsen on Monday night, police said.

At 7:26 p.m., two men were standing in the 1800 block of South Leavitt Street when a car pulled up and someone inside opened fire on them, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

A 33-year-old man was hit in his chest and leg and taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Estrada said. The man was later pronounced dead.

A 36-year-old man was hit in his buttocks and was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition, Estrada said.

The men are documented gang members, police said, and the incident might be gang-related.

No one is in custody.
