NORTH CENTER — To make Christmas tree recycling even more convenient for residents, the Northcenter Neighborhood Association has set up a pair of local drop-off points for the pines, in addition to the city's 24 official sites.

Leave your tree at 1819 W. Montrose Ave. or 4100 N. Damen Ave. (designated area only), Thursday through noon Jan. 10. Be sure to remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel and garland.

Volunteers will collect the trees on Sunday and Jan. 10 and haul them to the city's recycling points. Click here to join the volunteer brigade.
