CHICAGO — Five people have been injured in four separate shootings in Englewood since Tuesday, police said.

The shootings left a 15-year-old boy and 37-year-old woman injured, among others. During the same time period, there were only two shootings that left people injured throughout the rest of the city.

• The 15-year-old boy was wounded in a 9:45 p.m. shooting in the 5900 block of South Princeton Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The teen was getting out of a parked car when a man walked up to him and shot him in his neck and back.

The teen was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, Estrada said. The shooter got away.

The victim does not have documented gang ties, police said, but it appears he was the intended target of the shooting.

• At the same time, a 23-year-old man was injured in a separate shooting in the 7300 block of South Morgan Street, Estrada said. The man was standing on the sidewalk when a man walked up to him and shot him in his right hand and leg.

The victim was in "stable" condition at St. Bernard's Hospital, police said.

• Hours earlier, at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, another shooting left two men injured in the 5600 block of South May Street, Estrada said. The men were standing on the sidewalk when a light-colored minivan pulled next to them. Two men got out of the car and shot at the victims, then drove away, Estrada said.

The victims, who are 29 and 22 years old, were both hit in the leg and were taken to Stroger Hospital, where they were in good condition, Estrada said.

The victims are documented gang members, police said.

• Just minutes earlier, at 1:18 p.m., a 37-year-old woman was injured in a shooting while driving, Estrada said. The woman was driving west in the 700 block of West 67th Street when she saw a man standing in a home's front yard shooting a gun in her direction, Estrada said.

The woman's head was grazed by a bullet, and she was taken to St. Bernard's Hospital, where she was in good condition, Estrada said.

No one is in custody in the shootings.
