CHICAGO — Heading north on the northernmost branch of the Red Line will get tricky this weekend.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Friday, northbound Red Line trains will skip from Sheridan to Howard, bypassing the Wilson, Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn, Bryn Mawr, Thorndale, Granville, Loyola, Morse and Jarvis stations. The trains will run express until 4 a.m. Monday, according to an email from Ald. Harry Osterman (48th).
The skipped stations will remain open during the time. Customers looking to head north from these stations should first take a southbound train to Sheridan and transfer to a northbound train. Those looking to exit at these stations will need to travel to Howard and transfer to a southbound train, Osterman said.
Southbound trains will serve all stations during this time. Customers are advised to allow more time for commutes this weekend.
