RAVENSWOOD — The newly opened Band of Bohemia culinary brewhouse is the latest restaurant to sign on with the Tock ticketing system created by Nick Kokonas, co-owner of Next, Alinea and Aviary.

As of Thursday, the Tock system is live on the Band of Bohemia's website. Diners at the restaurant at 4710 N. Ravenswood Ave. can choose from a variety of options, ranging from a $15 "deposit" to reserve a table in the main dining area up to a $150 per person prepaid ticket that buys a seat at the chef's bar counter and a meal featuring multiple courses and beverages.

Tax and tip are not included in the price of the ticket. The reservation deposit will be applied to patrons' final bill.

Sections of the dining room will be set aside for walk-ins, according to a Band of Bohemia spokeswoman.

Kokonas told Bloomberg Businessweek that he was prompted to invent Tock after losing $260,000 annually in cancellations and partial no-shows at Alinea.

Band of Bohemia co-owners Michael Carroll and Craig Sindelar are Alinea veterans, as is Tom Santelle, head of Bohemia's coffee and tea program.

In addition to debuting Tock, the restaurant also announced its lineup for a series of weekly themed "anti-brunch" Sunday events, kicking off Dec. 27.

The Sunday menus, priced at $35 to $65, will offer up fare such as goat tacos and roast suckling pig.

Band of Bohemia has also added pastries from Floriole to its coffee to-go service — available 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
