CHICAGO — Three people were hurt — including a 16-year-old boy — in shootings on the South Side since Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

Most recently, a 19-year-old man was injured in a West Englewood shooting Wednesday night, said Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was outside in the 6600 block of South Justine Street at 7:40 p.m. when a shooter exited a gray van and fired shots before fleeing in the van, Alfaro said.

He was shot in the buttocks and was taken Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was treated and released, Alfaro said.

• A 16-year-old boy was shot in Englewood Wednesday night, Alfaro said. The boy was standing behind a vacant house in the 5500 block of South Emerald Avenue at 6:30 p.m. when someone came from a nearby gangway and opened fire, Alfaro said.

He was struck in the left foot and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, Alfaro said. The boy is a documented gang member, according to police.

• A 22-year-old man was injured in a Chicago Lawn shooting Wednesday afternoon, Alfaro said. He was outside in the 2400 block of West 69th Street at 3:15 p.m. when someone opened fire before driving off in a white SUV, Alfaro said.

The man was struck in the left leg and foot and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Alfaro said. He is a documented gang member, according to police.

No arrests have been made in any of the cases, Alfaro said.
