UPTOWN — Fans hoping to see Kid Cudi in Uptown Friday as part of his "Especial" Tour will have to wait longer than expected to see the infamous Man on the Moon.

Like "a lot" longer. Earlier this week, the "Kid named Cudi" postponed his tour in order to ensure his music is in tip top shape, according a lengthy note posted on Twitter:

"Things weren't together production wise and I need a bit to make some changes," he said in the note. "I got a lot im dealing with at this time in my personal life too and in order for the shows to be the best experience possible as well as keeping my sanity intact, I need to regroup."

Kid Cudi was supposed to play at the Riviera Theater, 4746 N. Racine Ave. Friday, but fans can get a taste of Cudi via his new album "Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven," which was released Friday.

According to the venue's website, the Riv is working with Kid Cudi's team to find a new date in 2016 "we hope to announce soon. We ask that you please hold on to your tickets until a new date has been announced."

Tickets to Friday's show will be valid at the rescheduled performance.
