EAST GARFIELD PARK — A 16-year-old boy was shot and killed late Wednesday, police said.

The shooting happened just before midnight in the park west of Kedzie Avenue on Van Buren Street, said Officer Bari Lemmon, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Two men walked up to the boy and one fired a gun, shooting the boy in his head, Lemmon said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified him as Mysean Dunning of the 3300 block of West Van Buren. He was pronounced dead at 12:06 p.m. and an autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound in his face, the morgue said.

No one has been arrested and police are investigating, she said.
