CHICAGO — A 27-year-old man was fatally wounded in a Chicago Lawn drive-by shooting Saturday night, according to police.

The man was outside in the 6200 block of South Rockwell Street around 8:30 p.m. when someone in a gray car drove by and opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.

He was struck multiple times in his face and neck, Estrada said, and was pronounced dead on the scene.

He was identified as Lamar Battle of the 6100 block of South Rockwell Street.

No arrests have been made, Estrada said.
