EDISON PARK — While the forecast calls for a break from the polar vortex, even the best Chicago winters can be brutally cold.
For the third year in a row, the Edison Park Community Council will collect new and gently used coats for men, women and children to make the season a bit warmer for those in need, officials said.
The coat drive, which is also being sponsored by Ald. Anthony Napolitano (41st) as well as the Edison Park, Edgebrook and Norwood Park chambers of commerce in conjunction with Button & Zipper, officials said.
Coats can be dropped off at:
• 41st Ward Office, 7442 N. Harlem Ave.
• Edison Park Chamber of Commerce office, 6730 N. Olmsted Ave.
• Edgebrook Chamber of Commerce office, 6440 N. Central Ave.
• Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce office, 6133 N. Northwest Hwy.
