Austin Farming Expo to Show How to Grow a Garden in the City

CHICAGO — Rooftop gardening, hydroponics and urban farming will be the focus of the Urban Agriculture Expo this weekend.

Groups including the Sugar Beet Food Co-cop and Urban Transformative Network will share information on farming in the city, be it on a rooftop, within your community or with hydroponics or aquaponics.

The expo is 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the United for Better Living Foundation Center, 4540 W. Washington Blvd. Call 312-603-4566 or email Richard.Boykin@CookCountyIL.gov for more information.
