BEVERLY — Homes sell faster in Mount Greenwood but sell for more in neighboring Beverly, according to research recently released by Redfin.

Researchers for the Seattle-based real estate company looked at home sales for neighborhoods throughout Chicago, analyzing a three-month period that ended Sept. 30.

The median sale price for Beverly during this timeframe was $281,600 versus $213,600 for the same period in Mount Greenwood, according to Redfin's data.

The data released on Oct. 22 also found that the median number of days a home was on the market in Beverly was 24 compared to Mount Greenwood at 13.

Citywide, Roscoe Village and the West Loop tied for the fastest-moving neighborhoods — meaning half the homes listed in the two neighborhoods were under contract in nine days or less. Median sale prices there were $456,000 and $371,800, respectively.
