CHICAGO — A 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old man were injured in a shooting in Chicago Lawn Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The two were standing outside in the 6800 block of South Maplewood Avenue around 2:50 p.m. when someone fired shots before running off, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The girl was struck in her back and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

The man was struck in his leg and taken to Holy Cross Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said. He is a documented gang member, a police source said.

No arrests have been made, Sedevic said.
