CHICAGO — A 16-year-old was wounded in a shooting in Chatham Sunday night, according to police.

The teen was walking in the 800 block of East 82nd Street around 7:25 p.m. when shots rang out from a passing car, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was struck in his leg and was taken to Comers Children's Hospital in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

The teen is a documented gang member, police said.

No arrests have been made.
