South Side Men Charged With Murder From Shooting That Killed 3 People

CHICAGO — Two men have been charged with murder after a Sept. 29 triple homicide in Fuller Park that left one woman and two men dead, and another two people injured.

Anthony Jackson, 20, of the 4500 block of South Drexel, faces three charges of murder, two of aggravated battery and two for attempted murder, according to a Chicago Police news release. Lawrence Brown, 22, of the 3700 block of South Wells, faces the same charges as well as a charge for being a felon in possession of a gun.

At 12:10 a.m. Sept. 29, the victims of the shooting were standing outside in the 300 block of West 42nd Street with a large group when Jackson and Brown walked up and fired into the crowd, according to police.

A 24-year-old woman was shot in her chest and pronounced dead at the scene, police said at the time of the incident. Antian Hardmon, 25, of the 7200 block of South Langley Avenue, and a 30-year-old man were shot in their heads and were pronounced dead at area hospitals.

A 26-year-old woman and 36-year-old man were shot in their legs and were in good condition at hospitals, according to police.

At least two of the men who were shot are documented gang members, police said at the time of the incident.
