CHICAGO — A woman died and five others were wounded in gun violence since Sunday, according to police.

A 19-year-old woman was killed and a 20-year-old man was wounded after they were shot while sitting in a car in Auburn Gresham Sunday, according to police.

• The most recent shooting happened at 11:40 p.m. Sunday, when a 32-year-old man was shot in the East Side neighborhood, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago police spokeswoman. The man was shot in his right abdomen after he got in to a fight with two other men, Sedevic said. He was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital by family and is listed in "stable" condition, Sedevic said. The man is a known gang member.

• Two men in their late teens were shot in Hermosa Sunday evening, Sedevic said. The two were walking in the 2500 block of North Kilbourn Avenue around 5:50 p.m. when shots rang out, Sedevic said. A 18-year-old man was shot in his back and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, Sedevic said. A 17-year-old man was shot in his arm and taken to Community First Medical Center in "stable" condition, she said. The 18-year-old is a documented gang member, police said.

• A 40-year-old man was shot in Chicago Lawn Sunday afternoon, Sedevic said. The man was in the 6700 block of South Bell Avenue when he was shot in his chest, she said. According to a police source, the shooting might have happened during a robbery attempt. The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he is in critical condition, Sedevic said.
