Englewood Drive-by Shooting Kills Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was killed in a drive-by in Englewood on Friday morning, police said.

At 7:30 a.m., the man, who was 32 years old, was walking in the 6000 block of South Aberdeen Street when a gray car passed and someone inside opened fire, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. The victim was hit four times.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. David Thomas was pronounced dead at 8:51 a.m., according to Cook County Medical Examiner's Records. 

No one is in custody for the shooting.
