CHICAGO — A Rogers Park shooting left three men injured on Tuesday night.

At 8:30 p.m., three men were on the sidewalk in the 2000 block of West Howard Street when a dark-colored car drove past and someone inside shot at them, said Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 39-year-old man was hit in his torso and ankle, a 40-year-old man was hit in his buttocks and a 30-year-old man was hit in his right ankle. All were treated at Presence Saint Francis Hospital, where they were in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.

The victims are documented gang members, police said.

Reddit user mischevious_unicorn posted a picture of a group of squad cars near the intersection of Howard and Ridge shortly after the shooting.

Evanstan Now, an Evanston online new source, reported that the incident ocurred near a troubled vacant storefront that officials have been working to convert into a new theater.

The report also alleged two men were responsible for the shooting, who then fled westbound in a car on Howard Street.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
