AUSTIN — A 33-year-old man is dead following a shooting in Austin early Saturday morning, police said.
Around 3:20 a.m., the man was at a party in the 1100 block of North Lawler Avenue when someone walked up, pulled out a gun and shot him in his head, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was brought to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
Police said they know the shooter's identity, but no arrests have been made.
