• Most recently, a 30-year-old man was shot when he was sitting in a car in Garfield Park. At 11:55 p.m. Monday, the man was in the 3800 block of West Harrison Street when he heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.
The man was shot in the right thigh and was driven to Loretto Hospital, where he was in good condition, Pacheco said.
• At 7:50 p.m., a 16-year-old boy was outside in the 4000 block of West Monroe Street in Garfield Park when he talked to a man who then took out a gun and shot at him, Pacheco said. The victim was shot in the buttocks and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.
The victim is a documented gang member, police said.
• At 6:20 p.m., two men were shot while in the 5900 block of South California Avenue in Chicago Lawn. A 19-year-old man was shot in the leg and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. A 25-year-old man took himself to Holy Cross Hospital with a wound in the thigh.
