AUBURN GRESHAM — Police warned residents of a series of robberies, including one in which a person was demanded to "take off everything," according to a Tuesday alert.

Between 9:50 and 10:30 p.m. Friday, a 20-year-old man was walking in the 8000 block of South Emerald Avenue when a man walked up and pointed a gun at him, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The robber then demanded the man "take off everything" and made off with his "personal belongings," Pacheco said.

Similar incidents occurred at the following times and addresses, according to police:

• 3 p.m. on Sept. 4 in the 7900 block of South Vincennes Avenue

• 10:55 a.m. on Sept. 7 in the 500 block of West Winneconna Parkway

• 10:10 a.m. on Sept. 16 in the 7500 block of South Eggleston Avenue

In one incident, police said, the offender was described as having "short hair that was red/auburn in color."

Anyone with information on the incidents is encouraged to call Area South detectives at 312-747-8273.
