RIVER NORTH — Cubs fans can warm up for Wednesday's Wild Card playoff with a pregame rally featuring Ryne Sandberg and Moises Alou's most infamous glove.

Sandberg, a Hall of Fame second baseman for the North Siders, will lead the rally that runs from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Harry Caray's Italian Restaurant, 33 W. Kinzie St.

Joining Sandberg will be Dutchie Caray, the widow of legendary broadcaster Harry Caray, as well as the forlorn glove that former Cubs outfielder Alou used to almost catch the "Bartman" foul ball in the 2003 National League Championship Series.

Those who attend will also see a 1969 Ernie Banks glove, the "last out" ball from the 1945 World Series, and a "hoverboard" from "Back to the Future Part II," a 1989 film that showed the Cubs winning the 2015 World Series

Wednesday marks the Cubs' first playoff game since 2008. Admission to the rally is free.

The Cubs and Wrigley Field are 95 percent owned by a trust established for the benefit of the family of Joe Ricketts, owner and CEO of DNAinfo.com. Joe Ricketts has no direct involvement in the management of the iconic team.
