CHICAGO — Metra has added charging kiosks to four Downtown stations.
Charging stations were added at Ogilvie Transportation Center, Millennium Station, Van Buren Street Station and LaSalle Street Station. They will be free and will support phones, laptops and tablets.
A charging station will also be added to the ticketing area at Union Station in several months, accordig to a Metra news release.
The charging stations cost an estimated $6,000 to $7,000, according to Metra.
Free Wi-Fi will also be added to waiting areas in Downtown stations within 45 days.
