CHICAGO — Six people have been wounded in shootings since Saturday morning, police said.

Among those wounded was a 21-year-old who was shot in the back of his head and listed in critical condition around midnight.

• Most recently, a 27-year-old man was in the 8400 block of South Komensky Avenue in Ashburn at 3:45 a.m. when he was shot, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was sitting in a van when another car pulled up and someone inside fired at the man, hitting him in his shoulder, Pacheco said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

• At 12:35 a.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the 5300 block of South Sacramento Avenue in Gage Park. He was sitting in a car when someone fired at him, hitting him in the back of his head, Pacheco said. He was taken to Holy Cross Hospital and transferred to Mt. Sinai in critical condition.

The shooting was possibly gang related, police said.

• At 4:50 p.m. Saturday, two men were shot in the 7500 block of South Kenwood Avenue in South Shore. A 29-year-old man was shot in his chest and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. A 20-year-old man was shot in his right leg and taken to Jackson Park Hospital before being transferred to Stroger, where he was in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

The 20-year-old man is a documented gang member, and the men have been uncooperative with police and given inconsistent stories about what led up to the shooting, police said.

• At 12:07 p.m., a 20-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park, police said.

• At 8 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in the 2800 block of West Wilcox Street in East Garfield Park. Police could not say the extent of his injuries.
