1 Killed, 3 Wounded in Shootings Since Tuesday, Police Say

CHICAGO — One man was killed and three people were injured in shootings since Tuesday, police said.

• A 29-year-old man was shot in his head in South Shore at 4 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

• At 9:45 p.m. a 26-year-old man was standing in the 5100 block of South Homan Avenue in Gage Park when a man got out of a light-colored SUV and shot at him, Pacheco said. The victim was hit in his leg and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

• At 6:45 p.m., an 18-year-old man was shot in his calf in the 5000 block of West Crystal Street in Austin, Pacheco said. The man took himself to West Suburban Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said. No further information about the shooting was available.

• At 2:23 p.m., a 30-year-old man was shot in his foot in the 3600 block of West 26th Street in Little Village, Pacheco said. The man took himself to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, Pacheco said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.
