EAST GARFIELD PARK — An 18-year-old man was shot dead in Garfield Park late Monday morning, police said.

Around 10:50 a.m., the man, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office as Dwayne Frazier Jr., of the 2600 West Gladys Avenue, was shot multiple times in his chest and arm, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

An acquaintance drove Frazier from where he was shot, in the 100 block of North Kedzie Avenue, to Mount Sinai Hospital, Estrada said. There he was pronounced dead.

Police could not immediately provide any other information about the shooting.

No one is in custody, Estrada said.
