DOWNTOWN — Uniqlo has tapped some well-known Chicagoans to show off the Tokyo-based chain's fashions in advance of their Oct. 23 store opening on Michigan Avenue.
Chicago Bulls cheerleaders, celebrity chef Stephanie Izard, Rockit Bar owner Billy Dec, rapper Rockie Fresh and other city "tastemakers" are now models on Uniqlo's website.
The three-floor Uniqlo at 830 N. Michigan Ave. will be the nation's second-largest, complete with its own Starbucks and views down the Magnificent Mile, executives at the hip Japanese retailer said today.
Check out Uniqlo's Chicago models here, and be on the lookout for the store's "train takeovers," which will bring Tokyo DJs, food and performances to the CTA starting Wednesday.
