UPTOWN — A 24-year-old woman and 33-year-old man were shot in Uptown early Sunday morning, police said.

Around 5:50 a.m., the two were shot while in car parked in the McDonald's parking lot in the 1000 block of West Wilson Avenue when another man pulled up alongside them, got out and opened fire, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

A 24-year-old woman was shot in her buttocks and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where her condition was stabilized. A 33-year-old man was shot in his shoulder and back and listed in fair condition at the same hopsital, police said.

The shooter got sped away from the scene in his car following opening fire. No one is in custody, Sedevic said.
