LOGAN SQUARE — Cemitas Puebla's Logan Square location is officially open.

The restaurant, which was previously based in Humboldt Park, opened its Logan Square location Saturday at 3129 W. Armitage Ave.

The Logan Square location will likely only be temporary, according to owner Tony Anteliz, who has plans to open a permanent restaurant in Humboldt Park in the spring.

Anteliz said he planned to keep the Logan Square pop-up Cemitas Puebla open for about a year.

The restaurant was still coming together with a few final touches such as a pop-machine still missing Tuesday, but was operating on a soft opening.

The menu at the new restaurant is the same as that at the Fulton Market location, which opened in September 2014.

Most of the cemitas, served on homemade sesame seed rolls layered with avocado, chipotle sauce, Oaxacan cheese and a choice of meat are $7.95.

The pata (cow foot) and carne asada are $8.95 and an atomica is $10.95 (carne enchilada, milanesa and jamon).

The menu also features a selection of tacos, chalupas, quesadillas, ceviche and salads.

The Logan Square location is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
