ENGLEWOOD — A 16-year-old girl was among two wounded in Englewood shootings Tuesday, police said.

Around 8:40 p.m., the girl was standing with a group of men in the 7200 block of South Union Avenue when two people ran up and shot into the crowd before fleeing, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The girl was taken to Saint Bernard Hospital with a gunshot wound to her left foot, Sedevic said. Her condition was listed as "stable," police said.

Earlier Tuesday, a man was walking in the 1500 block of West 73rd Place about 9:50 a.m. when he heard gunshots and felt pain, Sedevic said.

The man was brought to Advocate Christ Medical Center, where he was treated for a gunshot wound in his buttocks, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody for either shooting early Wednesday, police said.
