Uptown Shooting Wounds Man

UPTOWN — A 24-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Uptown early Sunday afternoon, police said.

Around 12:45 p.m., the man showed up at Weiss Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds in his right side, according to Officer Hector Alfaro, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man had been shot in the 1200 block of West Ainslie Street.

The man was listed in stable condition, Alfaro said.

Police said the man has known gang ties. 

No one is in custody, Alfaro said.
