Austin Armed Robberies Lead to Warning from Police

AUSTIN — Police are warning Austin residents of a series of armed robberies in the area since late August.

Police said the robberies occurred:

• At 5:15 a.m. Aug. 24 in the 5600 block of West Augusta Boulevard

• At 2:30 p.m. Aug. 26 in the 5700 block of West Chicago Avenue

• At 1:10 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 100 block of North Leclaire Avenue

• At 3:25 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of North Lacrosse Avenue

In all cases, police described the robbers as two black men ages 18-25, between 5-foot-7 and 6-feet tall, with medium complexions.
