LINCOLN SQUARE — Slovenian films were notably absent from this year's lineup of Movies in the Parks.

Beans & Bagels aims to rectify that oversight with a free screening of "Razredni sovražnik" (translation: "Class Enemy") at 7:30 p.m. Friday at 2601 W. Leland Ave. Running time is 1 hour and 52 minutes, with a brief discussion to follow.

"Class Enemy" is the first feature film from director Rok Bicek. The cast is largely made up of amateurs.

A quick synopsis: High school students clash with their new German teacher. When one of the teens commits suicide, her classmates accuse the teacher of being responsible. The students' rebellion eventually spills over into the wider community.

The movie was Slovenia's official Oscar submission in 2013 and was nominated for the Lux Prize, which is awarded by the European Parliament.
