NORTH LAWNDALE — A 25-year-old man was killed in a shooting in North Lawndale early Wednesday morning, police said.

Around 12:20 a.m., police responded to a call of a person shot in the 2700 block of West Lexington Street, according to Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman.

They found the man unresponsive there with gunshot wounds in his head, chest and groin, Estrada said. Paramedics pronounced the man dead on scene.

Police said the man was a documented gang member.
