CHICAGO — One man is dead and 12 more wounded — including a 7-year-old girl — in gun violence across Chicago since late Friday, police said.

A 34-year-old man was killed while sitting in a car with another 28-year-old man, who was also shot, at 4:10 a.m. Saturday in East Garfield Park, police said. The men were parked when a car pulled up and opened fire, fatally striking the 34-year-old man in the chest and wounding the 28-year-old in the neck and chest.

A Chicago Police Commander and his partner shot and wounded a man who attempted to reverse his car into the officers in Heart of Chicago around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.

A man, whose age is unknown, was shot in his torso near the intersection of Western Avenue and Fullerton Avenue in Logan Square midnight Saturday, police said.

• Most recently, a 24-year-old woman was shot in her left arm around 4:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of West 111th Street in Morgan Park, according to Officer Janel Sedevic, Chicago Police spokeswoman. She was taken to Christ Hospital in stable condition.

• At around 3:10 a.m., a 27-year-old man was shot in his shoulder in the 12100 block of South Front Avenue in West Pullman, Sedevic said. The man was driving when he was shot by a man on foot, and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital in critical condition, Sedevic said.

• A 29-year-old man was shot in his leg in the 2300 block of West Addison Street in North Center at 2:40 a.m. Friday, Sedevic said. He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition.

• A 40-year-old man was shot in his foot in the 3900 block of West Monroe Street at about 1:50 a.m. Friday in Garfield Park, Sedevic said. He walked to Stroger Hospital in unknown condition.

• A 25-year-old man was shot in his face and a 23-year-old man was shot in his face and body in the 7300 block of South Kingston in South Shore at 1:05 a.m. Saturday, Sedevic said. The men were in a house when they were shot at from outside, Sedevic said. Both were taken to Northwestern Hospital; the 25-year-old man is in stable condition and the 23-year-old is listed in critical condition.

• At around 11:45 p.m. Friday night, a 23-year-old man was shot in his ankle when he was shot at while walking in the 3200 block of Pierce Avenue in Humboldt Park, Sedevic said. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition.

• A 32-year-old man was shot in the back and a 7-year-old girl was shot in the arm in the 4600 block of South Ellis Avenue in Kenwood at 10:40 p.m. Friday. The 32-year-old, a known gang member, was taken and eventually released from University of Chicago Hospital, police said. The girl was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where she is expected to be released, Sedevic said. The two were in a car when an unknown offender approached on foot and opened fire.

• A boy was shot while on the Kennedy Expressway late Friday, according to reports.

No arrests have been made in the cases, Sedevic said.
