WEST LOOP — To celebrate Oyster Fest's 27th year, The Garage in the West Loop will giving away free tickets to the first 27 patrons in line for lunch Thursday.
The restaurant, which serves as home base for the The Salsa Truck food truck, will also be offering a sneak preview of the fest's far Thursday.
The West Coast-inspired menu will include:
• fresh shucked oysters, $1 each
• crab roll with Cape Cod potato chips, $14
• clam chowder, $4
• seafood Combo: mini crab roll, Cape Cod potato chips, and cup of clam chowder, $11
Oyster Fest by Shaw's Crab House, a fest that features East and West Coast oysters prepared by seafood restaurants across the country, will be staged at Rush & Hubbard streets in River North on Sept. 11. Tickets are now on sale for $30.
The Garage's menu rotates daily. The restaurant, located at 116 N. Aberdeen St., is open Monday through Friday 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. or until the restaurant sells out of food for the day.
