Armed Robber Shoots 76-Year-Old Man in the Knee in Little Village

LITTLE VILLAGE — An armed robber shot an elderly man in the knee during a stickup in the Little Village neighborhood Monday evening.

The 76-year-old man was shot around 5:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of South Karlov Avenue, where he was out walking, according to Officer Veejay Zala, a Chicago Police spokesman.

The gunman pulled up in a car, told the man he was robbing him and then shot him in the knee. The gunman then took off.

Police could not immediately provide any information on the man's condition.
